Pre-hair cut. Caroline wanted to fix her own hair today, so this was the style she came up with. I guess when she was done with the "chip clips" and put them back in the drawer she saw the... scissors... that is right big mommy/daddy scissors!
Doesn't look too bad from this angle, but Caroline came into the office and said something (I can't remember what) but I looked at her and said "oh no you cut your hair", Caroline started crying saying it was cut short and very upset. What did she think would happen when she took the scissors to her hair? I guess now she knows... it will actually cut hair!

So she cut herself some bangs... you can see in the photo below that there is a section of hair that is missing. I was going to trim it up, but found if I part it a little different that longer piece will go on the other side so it looks like she has bangs on one side of her head! Well at least it was not cut all the way to the scalp. Maybe she will be a great hairdresser with some more practice:) We did talk about who is allowed to cut her hair and what will happen the next time she gets scissors and cuts her hair... hopefully this is the only picture we will have of her cutting her own hair. I am excited we made it to 4yrs 9mo before she cut her hair by herself.

I really can't even tell in the pics...must not be too bad or else it must look worse in person. Hopefully it's just not too bad. Unfortunately most of them do it and it's a BIG thing for kindergarten kids to do. We always had a huge number of kids cutting their hair in Kindergarten. Mom's do not like that.
