This past Sunday was a busy day in the Jennings household. Sunday morning was baby dedication
Sunday. We submitted the below picture to the church who then put it up on the "big screen" during the dedication. Can you believe I got all three to smile at the same time? Granted Elizabeth has her silly smile on, but still all are smiling!

Then everyone who was dedicating a baby went up on the platform (there were four families up there). Also we have Greg's parents in the background and our "adopted grandpa" up there with us. Of course big sister was up there too. Baby dedication at our church is a time were we commit to raising our children to know and love God. It is also a time where the church commits to helping us do this.

Of course we have a time of prayer but all the big sisters did not get the memo to close eyes... but at least they were quiet!

Sunday night was deacon ordination. Greg and two others from our
Sunday school class (plus about 5 more men) were all ordained to be deacons in our church. It was such a special time as all the current deacons, church staff, and anyone else there came and prayed for us as we take on this leadership role in our church.

Our friends the Parrish's were also ordained

and our friends the
Shipps were ordained. It was such a neat experience to get to do this with friends and just having so many people praying for you was awesome. They were smart to put a box of tissues between the chairs. It was a pretty emotional, touching time!
