Labor Day Weekend!

We had a great get away for Labor Day weekend. We did not go far but had a great time. Saturday we drove to Waco and watched a Baylor football game that night. I forgot to take a pic of us there, must have been the 99 degree weather that made me forget:) We stayed the night at a hotel that night. On Sunday morning we went to a park before church started and played. Here is a pic of the kids on top of a rock climbing thing at the park.
After the park we went to a church that meets under I-35 bridge. It was pretty different but good. Then we headed off to the childrens museum on Baylor's campus. This has always been one of Caroline's favorite museum. She was so excited to show her brother and sister her favorite places. Eli loved the drums.
Lizzy spent most of her time in this water room...
The village with the car has always been Caroline's favorite place. However she is now to big for them and she was a bit sad about that. FYI her legs are out the door on the other side:)
Lizzy playing in the grocery store.
This was Eli's other favorite place... the fire truck!!!
We had friends that came with us... they all rode on the bus together.
The girls are getting ready for their wagon ride...
or was that a bull ride?   On Monday we went to see these bulls at the suspension bridge before heading to a festival.
Suspension bridge
We spent Monday morning a the Sorghum Festival just north of  Waco. The kids loved everything at the festival but I think the hay ride was their favorite.
Labor Day ended up being a tough day. To start the day Lizzy decided to jump from a chair in the hotel room to the bed, but missed and landed on her face on the carpet and had carpet burn marks on her face...
Then we went to my parents house to celebrate my dad's birthday. The kids were playing outside when Caroline came inside crying that she had cut the bottom of her foot on a rusted piece of metal and told us Eli fell off the retaining wall.  I patched Caroline up while the daddy's went to check on Eli. Eli ended up breaking his collar bone, which should heal in 3-4 weeks... nothing you can do except wait on it to heal. He has been a bit pampered and wanted to sleep last night with his new truck in his bed so we let him.
