Firsts!

This is the first time Greg has gone back to Nevada to work since Eli and Elizabeth were born. That means this is the first time I have been home with all three kids for a week by myself. That being said it is also the first cold Eli has gotten which means it is the first time he has had to have breathing treatments!

Wrestling, Prayer Quilt, Gparents, & Zoo

It has been a busy time here and I have not posted pics in awhile so I am a bit behind. Here is a pic of the kids wrestling on Sunday morning before church. They had a great time... or at least Caroline did. Our church has a neat ministry where they make a quilt for a person or family who is in need of prayers. It is called prayers and squares. Our family was nominated to receive one of these quilts after losing Natalie and knowing that we might be getting Eli and Elizabeth. So the quilt was made then placed in the church for people to come pray for our family and then tie a knot. We now have this beautiful quilt that shows us how many people prayed for us.
Then all the grandkids had their picture taken with my parents.
Monday we went to the zoo for our last time for awhile. We saw the rhino up close as he ate his hay....
We saw the young male lion chewing on a bone...
We also got to see the kangaroo's again and Caroline had her picture taken with one... We did ride on the carousel, play in the playground, run through the water, and ride the train... All of which are Caroline's favorite things to do at the zoo!
I forgot we also go to see the penguins' swimming. It was hard to take a good pic of them with my camera but one did a great job posing for me... it just did not turn out very well.

Smart Co-Worker

Greg works with a guy in Nevada who is the most intelligent person... he was able to help fix my sleep-deprived blunders!!! So here are the pictures from the zoo that I did not have on my memory card, but they were still on the camera!!!! (soon will be pics from our memorial day party that I did the same thing with, but did not confess it til now!)

Caroline in from of the gorilla... he is actually awake, most of the time we come it is too hot and they are sleeping so Caroline spends most of the time yelling "wake up gorilla" as loud as she can...never works.
The girls...
Caroline with the boys! See the kangaroo's up and about.
Here is the short video of the kangaroo actually hopping!!!!

Frustrated

Greg, Caroline, Eli, Elizabeth, and I all went to the zoo today.... it was such a sweet time because Greg does not get to go very often. I brought my camera so I could have some good photos of our family trip to the zoo. I even took some video of the kangaroo's hopping (normally these kangaroos are sleeping). I was so excited to get to post them for you. I got the computer, got my camera, opened it up to get the memory card out and..... no memory card. It was still in the computer from the last time I downloaded pictures. No great photos of the family at the zoo, just my writing telling you we had a great time and I took some great shots!

Twin Stats

Well Eli and Elizabeth had their two month check up... can you believe our babies are already 2 months, time flies by. So who do you think is bigger? Elizabeth is: 9 lbs 4oz, 22 1/4 inches long with a head circumference of 14 1/2inches. Eli is: 9lbs 8oz, 21 inches long with a head circumference of 15 inches. So Eli is shorter, heavier with a bigger head! Then the fun part came... all the immunizations. We finally left the doctors office after 10 shots (5 each), 2 oral immunizations and 2 crying babies and 1.5 hrs of fun:) They are a little tired, cranky, with low grade fevers today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Oh, the doctor was excited because Eli finally made it onto the growth chart, he is at 6% on the growth chart, Elizabeth is about 15%.

Caroline was privileged to stay home with her daddy during the whole ordeal. She was upset the last time I took them at 2weeks because they were going to get their heal pricked. I figured 10 shots would devastate her so she did not come. She had some great daddy time though... oh wait she napped through most of his lunch hour:)

Bumbo

We had dinner at some friends house on Sunday and they were saying their little boy does not like the bumbo and they had tried to sell it but could not... Greg and I both jumped at the chance to have it knowing little Eli would probably like it... he loves to be sitting and not laying down. He would be content on the floor for a bit but not long til he wanted up... so they let us have it... See how happy my little man is in his "new" bumbo!!! Thank you Demop's

Zoo Monday's Are Back

Zoo Monday's are back! Every Monday in June the zoo opens one hour early for members to come see different exhibits and talk to some zoo keepers. Our membership will expire at the end of this month so we are going as much as we can on Monday's. When we first got to the zoo they had a penguin out that we could get sorta close to and see. As we were leaving to go to another exhibit so did the penguin. He was following the zoo keeper. So cute to watch them waddle.

Caroline on a komodo dragon....okay not a real one, but it is right by the komodo dragon exhibit. Just did not think to take a picture of the real thing. Maybe next Monday:)

Eli and Elizabeth did come to the zoo for the first time ever... however they slept most of the time. It was HOT! and that heat put them right to sleep.
One great thing that Caroline likes is that the carousel ride and train ride are free on Monday's... that is the only time her mommy takes her on the rides... poor deprived child:) This past Monday Julie and Cooper came with us!

Caroline is posing in the wagon! Funny how the little things entertain kids.

Watching the otter swim by:

Caroline has the same wing span as a barn owl.

This was not at the zoo, but it was the same day. We were sitting in our living room feeding Eli and Elizabeth when the house started to shake and we heard a rumble! It went on for awhile so we went out to see what it was. Last week we had a plane crash and thought maybe we were having another one crash. We finally saw this plume of smoke. Called some friends to make sure it was not the nuclear plant (need to know if we need to evacuate), it was not.

Instead it was a natural gas explosion. I copied this picture from WFAA.com. The flames could be seen from Greg's parents house.
