Meridian State Park

We did go camping again. It was perfect weather for it, the rain stayed away and the sun was out, but not too hot. We had some great friends come and play with us during the daylight hours. Below is a picture of Caroline and her little friend Joshua. They are talking about who knows what... but they have their animal tracks sheet on their laps. All the kids had to have a sheet that they took with them everywhere they went so when they saw animal tracks they could identify the animal that made them. They were so excited about that. We are cooking dinner after a long day of hiking, fishing, and running around. Ok, I technically only hiked out of that list of things we did. I did read my book while others fished!
Night time!!! It finally got dark so we went into our tent (technically it was the Parrish's tent that they so willingly gave us since it is bigger than ours) and played games. we are all dressed in our warm pj's because it was a cold night!

The next morning, the sun was barely up and we went on another hike.

Caroline learned to climb trees on this trip. I am sure it helped hanging out with three boys who like to climb trees...
And a daddy who likes to climb trees.
