"IT'S TOO HOT!"

Saturday turned out to be a nice sunny day... and the strawberry patch was open for picking... so we did the family trip to pick organic strawberries. I don't know if yall saw the pics from last years strawberry picking time, but Caroline was covered forehead to neck in red strawberry juice. Not the case this time... Below is one of the few strawberries Caroline ate while there.

Most of the time we heard " its too hot, can I go back to the car". Ok so last year we were a little bit better dressed in sleeveless with a hat and sunscreen on, but come on it is April, who knew it was going to be close to 90 degrees outside? Needless to say, Caroline played in the sand instead of picking strawberries and she found the only shade she could find near a bunch of strawberry plants...

The strawberries taste great and Caroline has enjoyed eating them at home since it is not quite so hot! Today (Monday) we are sitting in front of a fire because it was 38 degrees this morning. Texas weather... nothing better:)
