Playing With Friends

Addi came over for an afternoon and brought her little stuffed kitty that she likes to sleep with... Well Calli loves to play with stuffed animals also and she thought that kitty made a great toy. She would throw it up in the air and try to catch the kitty. All was good and fun... until Addi realized what Calli was playing with!!! So Addi and Caroline chased after Calli (because of course she picks it up in her mouth and runs off to hide it) to get Addi's kitty back. Lots of screaming going on during that time also... picture emotional girls:) But it was pretty funny! Addi did get over the kitty incident and became "Mr. Schnauze"!
Caroline is off and running... isn't she precious in that outfit!!! That is one of my favorite outfits. Here comes the runway!
Thanks Aunt Pat for fixing the sleeves on her shirt!!!

I Found Some Pictures!!!

I forgot that we spent the morning at the river playing with our friends the Durand's. The pictures were still in the camera and I forgot all about them. The Durand's brought their dog Kate to play in the water. In the picture below you will see Greg, Caroline, Addi, and Kate all in the Brazos River playing.
Caroline is practicing her swimming.
Caroline is quite the helper. Jackson kept taking his hat off so Caroline would find it in the water and put it back on his head. This became a game for Jackson... to see how many time Caroline would get it and put it back on his head... the answer is A LOT!!!

Where are some new pictures?

I know many of you are asking that question. The sad answer to that question is that I have not taken any. I think the last pictures I took were in Idaho. How sad is that! Caroline is with her Granna and Papa right now but when she gets home I will take some pics and post them on the blog. So check back at the end of the week. I should have something posted by then.

Mini Vacation

Greg and I have the opportunity to take a mini-vacation. I say mini because Greg has to actually work while I vacation. Below is a picture of the Snake River. It is taken on our drive out to the Grand Tetons but it also is located right behind our hotel in Idaho Falls. Greg and I hiked at Jenny Lake below the Grand Tetons. You can see them in the background. It was a good workout to hike halfway around the lake to see the hidden waterfall. We even got to see a beaver on our hike. It was about 6 feet off the trail. I love the powerful sounds of a waterfall so instead of just putting a still picture here I decided to put a little video clip of the waterfall. Hope it helps you imagine this beautiful waterfall a little bit better.

This is Yellowstone Lake. As you can see the wild
fire went through this part but you can also see the new trees growing up below.
Some of the wildlife we saw on our trip.

Fun with Friends

Caroline received this dress-up genie outfit from her grandparents. They bought it on their cruise. It is supposed to show her tummy a little but she pulls it all the way down so her tummy wont show. I know the hair bows don't match but that was what she picked out. I have been meaning to take pictures of Caroline swimming in the pool all summer and finally remembered to take my camera. She loves her noodle and will swim around for hours with the noodle.
Caroline and her friend Rebeka swimming.
After we swam at the pool we all went to the marina to eat lunch so here are all the kiddo's:
Rebeka, Kenzi, Caroline, and Tyson.

1st Swimming Lesson

Caroline has seen her other friends taking swimming lessons and has been so excited to get to go to her own swimming lesson. She kept telling me that she was going to swim class and I could not go with her. They start off swim class with stretches. So cute to see all those little kiddos stretching.
Then they had roll call and at received their swimming caps.. doesn't she look happy to have it on:)
The first few lessons are to determine which lesson class they will be in. First they separate them by age and then will check their skills and move them accordingly. So one of the skills is getting out of the pool on your own.. as you can see Caroline struggles with this one... the whole time she had a tough time getting out of the pool. It was pretty funny to watch.
Next came her favorite part, the swimming. If you click on the picture to make it bigger you can see she is smiling.. and yes her cap does have her name on it.
The end of her lesson. It is one hour long and she does not look like it but she had a great time. I will keep you updated on her swimming abilities. Her grandma and grandpa get to take her next week. That will be fun for them!
