Celebrate Freedom

This weekend we went to a big concert all day long on Saturday called Celebrate freedom. It happens every year in Dallas but this was the first time we were able to go. We went with some friends of ours so you will see them in later pictures. There were a bunch of vendors at the stadium that handed out all kinds of free stuff. The concert was also free... can't beat that. We did have to pay for parking but we carpooled so it was not bad either. We only went for the morning, before it was too hot and before it started raining. Although it was advertised that the stadium can handle up to 6 inches of rain water per hour... now who would even want to be there when it was raining that much? All that said, below is a picture of Caroline and Morgan in front of the Geico gecko. As you will see later, Caroline really likes Morgan and he is so good with her, very patient and sweet. Group shot: L-R Caroline, Greg, Laura, Morgan, and Chris. We found some shade so we were all spread out.
Like I said Caroline really likes Morgan... how many 12 yr old boys would hold a 3 1/2 yr old's hand out in public? So sweet!!!
Ok, so part of the entertainment was the Chick-fil-A (CFA) cows. Now those of you in NV probably have not had the privilege to eat at CFA but it is our favorite fast food restaurant. Caroline does not know McDonald's but she knows CFA and they have a great playground according to her. All that said this was a CFA sponsored event so they had their cows there. Below you will see a picture of the cows as they leave the stage ( I was busy filming C to get a picture of them on stage but if you click on the picture you will be able to see them). The song in the background was changed to "who let the cows out, moo moo". Caroline is saying "Chick-fil-A cows!!" She was so excited to see them.

Finally

I know that is what yall are saying "finally she has something new on the blog". I have been hearing that I have been slow to put new stuff on the blog...but come on I am a busy stay at home mom. It is summer, we have swimming, playing with friends, swimming, playing with friends, etc :) Ok, and I have forgotten to take my camera with me when I have gone places this summer... I know what kind of a stay at home mom am I that I don't bring my camera with me everywhere I go! So here are some pics I have taken either recently or close to recent and have not posted before.

Caroline loves her Jackson. And she loves that she is "strong" enough to pick him up. She loves to pick him up and wants to do it all the time, Jackson and his mommy are not too sure they like her picking him up:) Although if you click on the pic to make it bigger it does look like Jackson is smiling!

We have been dog sitting for Greg's parents, which has been quite an adventure since we have no fenced yard, but Caroline has loved having a dog. She wants to play with the dog so today she asked I could take her picture with Tootie... wel that sounds easy but Tootie is not too sure about Caroline so it was a little difficult getting them next to each other.

Greg and I have started singing in the church choir. I know you are thinking " yall can sing" well thankfully that is not a requirement. Anyway as you listen to Caroline singing into her mic (also known as a hotwheels car) at the end she says she is singing in the choir. She always wants to go with us to choir practice.

Lake Day

Caroline's first tube ride. She and her daddy had a great time. Daddy would splash Caroline using his long legs and Caroline just laughed and laughed. Make sure you click on the picture. It makes it much bigger and you can see the precious smiles.

Did we catch a big fish or is Greg learning to wake board?

Ok, so I could get up on the wake board but I could not figure out how to do anything else except stay where I was. So as they were at the end of the "road" and had to turn around I could not figure out how to get behind the boat. I went down soon after this picture was taken.

One of Caroline's favorite activities this weekend was to drive the boat. She even got to push the horn on the boat! After a long day of wake boarding, knee boarding, swimming what can be better than to eat watermelon and then rinse off in the water? It tasted really good too!!!

Caroline enjoyed "ski boarding" with her daddy!

After a hard day of playing in the water it was more than Caroline's eyes could take and this is how we found her.

This is Caroline smiling with "Mrs. Bannerlamb". We so appreciated our friends for inviting us out to their lake house to play with them.

Sunny Days

I tried to upload these pictures last week when I took them, but it was not working properly. So here are the pics of what we did when we got back from the cold artic of Lake Tahoe:) That is right we were back in 90 degree weather were we needed bathing suits and water to keep us cool. Caroline is playing with her little sand and water toy. We also have a new pool that has a blow up slide that goes with it, but we had to blow it up in stages so it is not in the picture. Caroline likes to run around the yard then jump into the pool, get out and do it all over again.
