Typical Texas!

We have our windows open and the kids are outside in their bathing suits jumping on the trampoline in the rain.... on February 21st!!! 

Competition Saturday

Elizabeth had another competition this weekend and did much better.  She actually had people she competed against and scored something on each event. First up this time was trampoline. 

She did mess up during the trampoline routine but not until closer toward the end. She is supposed to do a tuck (pull legs up) before she does a half turn but she turned then tucked. So the judges stop judging once she messes up.

She placed second for trampoline (she is behind the guy in black). Unfortunately I did not realize they had two places to give awards and I was at the opposite end trying to take a picture through a guy!

Next up is tumbling. She is doing a great back roll right now. That is her head coach kneeling down watching.

Elizabeth received 2nd place again on tumbling!

Last is Elizabeth least favorite event... the double mini! She did a great job on her double mini this time though. I showed her this picture of her way up in the air doing a straddle and how cool it looks so I think she might like the double mini now!

Again... 2nd place!!! So proud of our little girl!!!

After she finished competing they announced which gym had the best overall score for the three events. Gym-Kat placed 3rd for tumbling for level 2. Elizabeth was the only one from Gym-Kat level 2 group left so she was able to hold the trophy by herself!

Gym-Kat also placed 3rd for level 2 double mini, again Lizzy was able to hold the trophy. She kept hoping she could take one home!

Weekend Activities!

Another Saturday basketball game. Soon basketball will end and soccer and baseball will begin!

 Most are looking and ready for the rebound!

 Then on to some good trampoline time, playing their favorite game..... steam roller! Look at the height of that jump!

 Eli has been caught by the steam roller.

 Ohh and he missed Caroline, she is hard for the steam roller to catch!

 Nothing like a little wild, staticky hair will jumping!

 She has been steam rolled!!!

100th Day of School

Today is a big celebration in Kindergarten! They get a 100 day party and are supposed to dress like they are 100 yrs old... their hair is silver... but hard to tell in the pictures. Eli is sporting his pants and mustache... Lizzy has her dress and socks pulled up.. and her bun (aka bee hive). They also had to bring in 100 things to show...Lizzy picked 100 skittles and Eli picked 100 M&M's... although they told me by the time they made it to school with their project... it was not 100 any more... evidently they tasted a few!
