Thanksgiving

Well we started off our Thanksgiving having fun! There was lots of laughter and lots of Crazy Static-y Hair!

Then we took a turn for the worse... after daddy got off the trampoline somehow when Eli was jumping he landed on the trampoline wrong... next thing you know we are at the ER. Took x-rays found out he broke his arm. The good thing was that the ambulance had just gotten there and the door into the ER for the ambulance was right next to our room, so as we looked at the ambulance through the door, the EMT asked Eli if he would like to sit in the ambulance... so out we trekked to the ambulance.
Eli even got to put on the lights and hear the siren (which scared him a bit). He loved every bit of the ambulance though.
Next we found out that the bone he broke was going to need pins put in it so we would have to come back at 4pm to have surgery at 5pm... so off to the grandparents house for mommy and daddy to eat a little thanksgiving and see the rest of the family (for about 1 hr) before going back to the hospital. This pic was taken right after surgery. He did really well and did not even throw up on the way home which is one of the most common things for kids to do after surgery.
That night at home Lizzy was in Eli's bed giving him a little extra loving. So sweet to see both girls being extra careful with him... oh and Eli requested a Spider-Man cast when asked what color he wanted.. and his doctor came through with a great Spider-Man cast.
Hope your Thanksgiving was better than ours!!!

Birthday Girl!

9 years goes by too fast... I can not believe my baby is 9 years old already. I thank God for giving us such a precious little girl who has the most tender heart for others.

We did a birthday party this year and invited church and school friends. However it was freezing and raining outside so all my outside activities where cancelled and we had to come up with a plan B.
After the party was over Lizzy organized Caroline's clothes that she received for her.

Pilgrims, Friends, and Boats

Caroline had a project for class this year right before Thanksgiving. Her class was reading the book "Molly's Pilgrim" and she was given a clothes pin and told to dress it like a pilgrim... so here is what we did...
Don't you love her red shoes? Caroline decided she needed shoes so she drew some red ones on...
Fun times with old friends. When Caroline was 3 she and her friend Addi would walk around holding hands... now this was not something Addi liked to do and it took her awhile to get used to it but 6 yrs later... they still hold hands when walking and talking... so sweet!!!
Caroline, Addi, and her brother Jackson.. Love these guys. We don't get to see them nearly enough.
Greg has been working on a bee box ever since he went to a bee-keeping class... Eli and Elizabeth thought it was a boat and loved to sit in it and pretend they were rowing the boat. They were a little sad when their daddy finished his project and they can't sit in it anymore... but they still call it their boat.
