Another Swim Meet

It is nice to go to swim meets with a playground. It definitely helps keep my little ones entertained. This last swim meet and the next one are both in Granbury which makes it a nice commute so early in the morning.
Caroline is in lane 6 which is the closest one to the camera (in the white swim cap)
After a great backstroke swim Caroline went back to ask the timers what her time was and she shaved off 13 sec from her time the weekend before!!!

My videos are still too long to upload so no footage of the meet.

Father's Day and Fun

Not sure why this is the only photo I have of father's day but here it is.... waking daddy up early and jumping on him and giving him a gift... what better way to wake up:)
Another alternative to playing in the pool is jumping on the trampoline while getting sprayed with water... the kids had a blast! It was the longest time Eli has stayed on the trampoline!!

Caroline's First Swim Meet!!!

Caroline is on the Seals Swim Team, just like olympic medalist Dana Vollmer was when she was little. Caroline went to her first meet last night and did a great job.. she had lots of fun even though there is lots of sitting around waiting, but she used that time wisely and played with friends!

Caroline just finished her backstroke and is talking to one of the coaches.
Eli and Elizabeth had a great time at the swim meet... we had food, playground and things to climb on... what more could a 3 year old want? (Lizzy was too busy following Caroline everywhere she went for me to get a pic of her)

I have video of her swim that I am trying to make shorter so it will upload here but have not had a chance to do that yet... keep watch will try to get it up here soon.

Summer Fun

Caroline and I are making cookies for our hard working roofers... Can't imagine how hot it is on the roof when it is 100 degrees outside!
Caroline and Hannah were FINALLY able to make their necklaces. For Hannah's birthday (in Feb) that was the gift we were going to give her was making her own necklace at a store in town. The first time we went when Hannah was in town the store was closed, the second time the store had a sale and they don't do beading during sales, the third time was a success!!
Nothing says summer like some swimming... Eli and Elizabeth are finally comfortable in the pool and will jump in... Eli more than Lizzy... he will jump and go under and come up laughing...

Beach Day

I used to take Caroline to the Granbury beach at least once a week... before Eli and Elizabeth. Needless to say we have not been in 3 years... so I gave in and went today with some friends. The kids had a great time. I am afraid I will be asked a lot if we can go to the beach to play!!!
I asked the kids to smile for me... this is what I got!

I love my three kids, even though they exhaust me most days!!!

Swim Lessons Have Begun

Elizabeth was first
then Eli
I tried to put a red arrow over Caroline's head... she is swimming on the Seals team this year since Dana Vollmer came to her school and talked about how she swam on the Seals team when she lived in Granbury!!!

Summer Fun

We started off the month of June by going to a birthday party at Michaels Craft Store. The kids had a great time and made a wallet out of duct tape... the things you can make with duct tape now:)
Then off to nap time... although after struggling falling asleep Caroline finally found a comfy spot to sleep...
Then a little jump time in on the new trampoline... we keep our trampoline at my parents house and the tornado picked it up and dropped it at the neighbors house... so here is the new one... without the enclosure. In the background you can see the twisted off tree tops the tornado left in the neighbors yard.
Nothing says summer like playing at the park.
Caroline's new friend Cora... isnt she cute!!

Awards Day

The last Thursday of 2nd grade, Caroline woke up about 5am complaining of her tummy hurting. She slept on the floor in our room until we woke her up to go to school... she still didn't feel great but had no fever and wanted to try and go to the awards ceremony that was at 10am, so I let her and told her I would see her at school. When she walked into the "pit" she was carrying a trash can... obviously she did not feel better. If you look closely in the picture you can sort of see part of the white trash can, but can see it really well in the video:)

She did make it through the day with out throwing up but after the awards I took her home and she slept all day. Woke up Friday feeling great and finished her 2nd grade year strong!

Memorial Day Camp-Out!!

We had a few first experiences this camping trip... one is it was the longest we have got tent camping (3 days)... 2nd and most important was it rained and rained and rained on us the first night and morning...I now know I can tent camp for 3 days and I can survive the rain and stay dry... however next time I will pack some inside games to keep the kids occupied:)

Our hike to the bathroom had a short way or a long way... the short way involved climbing over these rocks... it was Caroline's favorite way and as long as I was not in flip-flops it was a good way to go...
We camped with our friends who have girls that are 2 and 3... they also have a 17 yr old but he did not make any of the pics...
In fact there are very few of my kids because I didn't take many pics and they would not let me get their picture, except Caroline she is usually willing to pose for me.
Caroline and Hope could be found holding hands playing together a lot of our camping trip.

We went to Inks Lake State Park which we absolutely loved. They also had a great playground for the kids
One of the all time favorites of Inks Lake was the amphitheater... the kids had a great time putting on a show for all.

Tornado

I had to search and search for a picture of my parents backyard before the tornado came... this was the best pic I could find. It was in the winter but you can see there are several trees in their backyard...
This is after the tornado came through and pulled up all the trees and left them laying down. After many workers and chainsaws and a tractor...
this is how it looked... cleared but sadly no more trees... it will be HOT this summer!!!
After Greg got back in town and we worked at my parents house, we headed to the other neighborhood that was hit the hardest and helped out there...
These are just some pics I took while there...
