Horseback Riding

Today we got to go horseback riding with friends...what could be better than that? I had a coupon (groupon) for horseback riding and we were finally able to get it done. It was a beautiful day and I think everyone had a great time.We first had a lesson on grooming a horse, then a little riding lesson, then a short trail ride. I only took pics of the riding lesson part.

FUN RUN

Today was Caroline's fun run!! I love this fundraiser for her school for two reasons: 1. It is exercise! It encourages the kids to run. They ask people to pledge them per lap they run and run between 25-35 laps, or give a straight pledge. 2. They teach them different ways to develop good character. It sure beats selling cookie dough in my book! This year we made a deal with Caroline that we would pay her personally for every lap she did over 35. Let the running begin...

High Fives!!!
Had to keep Eli and Elizabeth entertained. At the beginning they were just happy to be watching the kids run and cheering but after about 45 min of that they needed something else... so I allowed them each to have a "hat".

Check it out!!! We owe Caroline a lot of money for her extra laps... she did 12 extra laps!!!

Elizabeth also enjoyed a little dancing time to the music that played throughout the run!
We are so proud of all the hard running Caroline did... that 5k she ran must have helped her stamina:)

Strawberry Picking Time

I love strawberry picking time... or I used to when it was 2 on 1... now that it is 2 on 3 (or when invite family 3 on 4) the adults are out numbered... that makes picking "good" strawberries hard. We had some tasty ones and some not so tasty ones. Although Eli and Elizabeth thought they all tasted good!!

(Make sure you click on Eli's picture so you get the full extent of the strawberry juices flowing off his chin:)

Mixed Batch!

Eli loves the jeep/car/anything that drives or makes noises... anything manly!!! His friend is an excellent driver, I was impressed that he rarely ran into anything and he's not yet 3.
Caroline's field trip for 2nd grade was to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium... it made some great teaching moments for me! Caroline is located middle right on back row next to #19.
Can not live in Texas long with out having your kids pictures with bluebonnets (I think it is a rule and you get kicked out of the state if you don't take pics with the bluebonnets).

Playing at Granna and Papa's is always fun, esp when the neighbor has a tree house!
How many kids fit on a tire swing?.....

                                                                   That is correct 6!
