BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

Today we had success!!! We officially have three kids who ride their bikes!!! We bought Eli a bike last weekend (since we only have girly bikes) and he has been trying to ride it ever since but just struggled with continually pedaling forward. He would pedal forward once then backward (which we all know is the brake), then couldn't get going again... but tonight was a different story... watch and see the smile of success.

This is not related to our success but is soo cute... we have ducklings!!!! We have noticed a girl and boy ducks hanging around our fountains in our neighborhood and today we saw the results of all those gatherings we had seen before. Below is the momma duck with at least 14 ducklings!!! I have a hard enough time with 3 kids I can't imagine 14!!!!! They are so cute!

3rd Birthday Celebration Weekend/ Easter Too!

Talk about a busy busy weekend!!! First we celebrated Eli and Elizabeth's birthday the weekend before their actual birthday...They are ready to go on our adventure...

We took the train in Fort Worth to Dallas!!! They are trying to wait patiently for the train to arrive.
On the train and it is finally moving and Eli is glued to the window (for about 5min).
Lizzy making her scary-face on the train ride.
The girls!!! I do get in an occasional picture.
Then from the Dallas Union station we hopped on another train and went to the Dallas Zoo. Everyone is checking out the cheetah's.
Then the cheetah decided it wanted to check out the kids... good thing there is glass in between or he would have had and Eli snack.
Speaking of snacks.. it was breakfast time for the lions!
After all the train rides to Dallas then back to Ft Worth, they couldn't make it long before sleep came!!! They are so sweet when they are sleeping!
The next day was Easter... so we started off with the baskets...

Then quickly getting dressed to be at church by 8am!!Yikes we were just on time!!!
Then off to Granna and Papa's house for Easter lunch , family photos and egg hunting...

Granna and her grand-kids and grand-dogs!!
Then more Easter gift opening...

and early birthday opening.
Then of course we have to play with our new toys...

Been A Long Time

It has been too long since I have blogged that it will take me awhile to go back and update... so I thought I would start with the most recent... this weekend. We had a busy weekend that started with Caroline and I running the 5k Color Run. It was hard to get two smiling girls during this run. This first pic is the before pic... that being said the run was at 8am and was 54 degrees outside... now it was supposed to be a high of 80 on Saturday but not at 8am... so no smiles from one cold girl...
This is the after pic... as in after we had colors thrown on us... oh and Caroline just had orange color thrown in her face (can't believe someone would do that:)...
We then played at a park over a freeway (only in Dallas can you have a park over a freeway and it be cool), with Uncle Brian and cousin Hannah... no pics from this playdate though. Oh, not to forget this is Eli and Elizabeth's birthday....good thing we celebrated it earlier because one of the things I forgot to bring on our trip was their cupcakes! Then we headed out to East Texas to look around and play. We ended up at Brookhaven Christian Retreat center, where Greg worked one summer in college. They we so sweet to us, they let us stay in a 3 bedroom house, they fed us breakfast and gave us some tshirts...The kids had a great time exploring all the retreat has to offer...
They even put on a little show for us in the amphitheater!!!
On the drive home today we had a very nutritious lunch from Whataburger... Eli had a bag of fries and was being so sweet to share them with Lizzy in the car... that is what they are doing in this pic... sometimes they can be so sweet to each other... but not always!!!
Once we got home on Sunday Granna and Papa came over to bring the newly 3 years olds their birthday gifts...Gun for Eli...
Pink Castle tent for Lizzy...
And the forgotten cupcakes... not a great pic of them though...
