Camping, Valentines, Haircut, and Pigs!!!

I know you wonder how all those things go together... and really its because I am too lazy to make a separate post for each event!! First we went camping a couple of weekends ago. We had a great time with the headlamps, flashlights and hiking. The kids absolutely love to camp and sleep in the tent and eat junk food (its about the only time they get the last thing).

Valentine's Day started with a little gift for all the kids... a picnic basket. They used it for breakfast and then for dinner we took it across the street to the picnic table and ate our picnic dinner!

Caroline had fun at her party at school where she decorated her own cookie, played valentine twister, and

had silly pics made with different things... big lips being one of them!

Elizabeth had her 1st haircut.... she did a great job sitting still and I think she kinda liked it...

even though she would not smile for the camera!!

Yesterday we had an errand to run and were able to see a HUGE pig... 

plus ducks, geese, chickens, and horses.... the kids had a great time seeing the animals and petting the horses.

Favorite Days

I love this weather... I love that we can wear short sleeves in February .. I love the weather in the 70's. If I could find a place that was 70's year round I would be very tempted to live there, it is my favorite temp to be outside in the sun playing. The first pic is not outside playing but it was a nice enough day to have short sleeves on... Lizzy loves playing on the castle and her favorite thing is to climb the rope ladder and hang "upside down".

Yesterday was one of those days in the 70's so we went to the park to play. The kids had a great time and I loved watching them all go down the slide... Eli and Caroline went head first a few times... but this was the 1st time Lizzy went down the slide on her own with a smile... she goes down slides but has never gone down this one that is enclosed... she will find a different way down than the slide... So proud of her going all by herself without any encouragement.

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Saturday night was daddy daughter date night at Chick fil A.  Greg is teaching the girls early that dates come to the door and ring the doorbell to pick them up.

Here they go. This year Elizabeth is old enough to go on a date. The girls were so very excited (we did not tell them until it was time to go).

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the date (I was not invited) but I hear there was red carpet, table cloths, violin player, horse drawn carriage. Eli and I went on our own date to a Mexican restaurant and had a great time too... but I'm not great at taking pics of my own self.

It has been two weekends ago now that Caroline went to a birthday party at the skating rink. I was very proud of her this time she tried to get off the wall a few times and did well.

One morning we went to Lowes. The kids love going but as soon as we got out to the garden area they wanted out of the "car" basket... little did we know Lizzy had seen something she thought was better... Eli did not mind it either (until we were leaving and told them they had to put it back).

I apologize for the next few pictures... i tried several times to get them turned the right way but my computer was not having it... The first is letting you know how many kids fit on our stroller happily.

This weekend instead of cheering we went to our long time friends birthday. Bryn turned 8! She had a party at Main Event. The first thing Caroline got to do was laser tag and she will tell you it was her favorite thing. (i couldn't  take pics in there though). Next was bowling. All the kids enjoyed it until about round 7.

I had never seen this device to help the little kids push the ball down the lane... Eli and Lizzy loved it.

After a long day, Eli loves to lay in the bathtub and play. He finally got to take a bath by himself and was able to lay in the tub with no one kicking him.
