Busy Saturday

We started off our Saturday cheering for the bastketball game.
Then we moved on to the stock show where Eli and Caroline climbed up in a BIG tractor! It was a little too big for Lizzy's comfort level.
What is a stock show without animals to pet. Several of the people there let the kids pet their baby goats, or cows, plus there was a petting zoo on the grounds.

When we were done at the stock show we walked across the street to the Cowgirl Museum. Eli and Lizzy were pretty tired by this time. Lizzy did not want to ride the bronc, but her mean mommy made her... unfortunately there is no real time volume of the following video but imagine there is loud screaming going on.

Busy Times

This weekend we had 3 extra kids at our house. It made it a bit busy, but one of the things we did was take all the kids to feed the chickens some grubs! They loved it (chickens and kids).
We were supposed to bring dinner to a couple who just had a baby on Sunday, however after the busy weekend... I forgot! Therefor I made up for it on Monday and brought them dinner. Caroline was able to get some good big sister practice in... I think she misses holding the babies. I however don't miss getting to hand the babies back to their parents and walking away;)

I am always amazed that 1st time mom's willingly let Caroline hold there baby.  She loved getting to hold baby Nora, Nora did not seem to mind either!

Warm weather

We had a day of warm weather last week. I also got a new phone and was trying out my camera and took some pics of the kids.

Cheerleading

Caroline had her first cheerleading game on Saturday. She did a great job and had a lot of fun! She also looks pretty cute in her uniform. I will confess Greg had a hard time decided who to watch... the cheerleaders (ie. Caroline) or the basketball game!
The cheerleaders are all lined up ready for the players to be announced!
Notice the buckets behind them.... that is where they sit when they are not cheering. The girls all decorated their buckets and put a cushion on the top so they can sit.
This is their half-time cheer!

Chickens and School

The first picture is not the best quality because it was from my phone's camera. However you will get the gist of it...Eli and Elizabeth love each other. They normally do not pay much attention to each other in the car, but as we were taking our chickens to be processed I hear them talking about holding hands... as I look behind me this is what I see:
Eli was laughing as hard as he could... he thought it was so funny that they could hold hands.

After taking care of the chickens, it was off to school for the "littles". Yesterday was their first day to go to school and they could not wait! All morning they talked about going to school and where was their school. Mommy is getting a little break 2 days a week so she can get the house cleaned and organized!

Celebrating

We decided to celebrate the last day of Christmas break by going to the History and Science Museum. The kids had a great time. They all wanted to play on the computer at the same time.
Eli got tired of that and decided to play with Lincoln Logs for a bit.
The girls loved playing with the dolls and all the medical supplies they have in this station.
Eli liked the ambulance for awhile, but the girls definitely played much longer that he wanted to, so off he went for a new adventure.
This is the station Eli loved the most....the grocery store!
The girls did follow but it took them awhile, they were too busy taking care of their dolls.
The museum has a big titanic exhibit so there is a  replica of the ship in the foyer for the kids to enjoy!
It was a great way to celebrate the last day before school was going to start up again! The spring semester is a little rougher because spring break is about the only break they get in order to get out in May.

More Pics

All the kids love the "Three Little Pigs". They will occasionally climb up in daddy's lap and watch the 3 little pigs on youtube!
Thanks to Uncle Brian, we have a huge train in our living area that the kids have been coloring on and playing  inside. They love their train!
Last weekend we ran into some old friends from Caroline's kindergarten year at the grocery store. We were so excited to see them that we planned a play-date. The kids had a great time playing with Daniel and Lucas.
Not bad to have 3 out of 5 kids looking at the camera at the same time!

Christmas

This year for Christmas the kids received some dress up clothes! The girls have some of their dress up clothes on with their pj's.

The best is that Eli has some dress up clothes so he can stop wearing the girls dresses and tutu's as dress up clothes!
As a side note, notice Greg's facial hair. He went a month without shaving and had a nice beard going on. I must confess I like his smooth face the best!

Found the pics from Caroline's Christmas musical at church. She is on the top row in the center of the pic, in case you are having a hard time finding her.
Caroline was able to be a candle dancer (I think that was the title). She was very excited to have that part. We did not realize how many practices she would be having with this production so she had to drop out of the other part as a dancer.
She ended up having a great time even though there were lots of practices. We are going to be taking a little break from choir at church because Caroline is going to be cheering soon. So be looking for pics of that at the end of the month.

Long time

Well it is a new year so I thought I would start off right with a post, from last year. Ok so I had some complaints about seeing Greg for so long at the Spartan race and nothing else. In my defense during the spartan race Lizzy started running a fever, when she was finishing up I got the flu... Therefore I have no pictures of anything. Also I started running fever again on Christmas morning... so again, no pictures. Now there are people out there that do have pictures of Caroline during her Christmas performance at church and school, and also have pics from Christmas. If I get any of those I will post them. For now you will have to be happy with some pics I took with my phone at Caroline's Christmas party at school!!!

We love Caroline's principal, she is not much taller than these 2nd grades... she is Santa! She knows pretty much every kid by name in the school... she has the most amazing memory!!! Oh, in case you did not find Caroline she is on the back right, next to her teacher.
