Fun Times!!!

Well we went to a local church tonight to play games and get candy. Also the kids enjoyed putting on some of their dress up clothes.
This was the highlight for Eli. He loved riding on the train. He was not so sure he wanted to ride it but definitely wanted to watch it... However once he got on it he loved it!

This is what Lizzy did the whole time Caroline and Eli rode the train! She would not get on it...we tried two different times!
Well since we have chickens and are thinking about getting cows, it is always good to have the kids practice milking them.

Last thing we did before leaving was ride the train one more time. This time I carried Lizzy and made her sit with me. Guess what she LOVED it. She was laughing and smiling the whole time!!!
We had a great day, Caroline said it was the best day ever (I think better than Disney). She loved getting tons of candy from the church, but also her Granna and Popa gave them candy, plus our neighbors brought them candy! Caroline thinks that is how trick or treating goes, we stay home and neighbors bring us candy. We are not big on trick or treating so we have not done that in a long time but our neighbors are so sweet and plan on giving them treats so since we don't come to their house they bring it to ours!

Character Day and Trains

Today is Character Day at Caroline's school. She can dress up but has to be dressed as a character from a book. Of course Caroline picked to be Fiona the flower girl. Her Aunt May bought her a book all about what it means to be flower girl to help her get ready for her big debut as the flower girl in Aunt May's wedding. So Caroline got her flower girl dress and her book and headed off to school! Of course she had the have the flower girls basket as an accessory!
We love hand me downs! I am so thankful to have friends to hand me down clothes, toys, whatever it is. Today it happened to be a train table. Eli and Lizzy have enjoyed playing with it. We need a few more train track pieces to get a good track going (our friends dog ate some of the pieces) but the kids don't seem to mind at all that the track is a little small!

Stitches AGAIN!!!

Well we had a very long day today. Eli had an audiology appt scheduled for this morning, but before we left the house he fell and cut his lip. It had a little gap but I was not sure we need to go for stitches. I called his doctors office and talked to the nurse there who said that because of the location of the cut (it went into the upper lip) we need to go to the ER. So after our appt we headed over to the ER, thankfully they were on the same street, unfortunately it was a busy morning at the ER. After 3 hours at the ER (during lunch and part of nap time), big injection of lidocaine, and two stitches, we finally headed home. Oh Eli did get a popsicle for his trouble from the wound tech guy! He should sleep well tonight!
On another note, a bit happier, Angel went to the beauty parlor for the first time. She got her hairs cut and a nice bath. Now she is the cutest dog around!

The Big Day!

We got up early and headed out the Aunt May's room to start getting Caroline ready for the big day. She had someone curl and fix her hair for this special event.
Here she is all beautiful in her dress with her flowers in her hair and ready for the big event.

Rehearsal and Dinner

The Day has finally come! Someones getting married. In preparation of the big day both girls slept in socks Thursday night so they would have curls for the rehearsal dinner.

Caroline went to school til 10 (that is when they take roll and she is considered present for the day) then we headed to Dallas for a big girls bridal luncheon and on the the rehearsal.
Caroline talked and talked to the other bridesmaids during rehearsal! She had a great time!!!
During the dinner that night there was a little two man band who played the whole time... and Eli and Lizzy were mesmerized. They sat for an hour just listening to those guys... they NEVER sit more than 20 min at a time for anything else. I need to get their number for babysitting!!
A lot of people said some really sweet things during the toasting at the rehearsal dinner, but Caroline thought it ran a little long.
