LONG week!

We had a very long week last week at the Jennings house. Eli and Elizabeth both had ear infections but this time they were both very clingy. They would play a few minutes by themselves then wanted to be held and if not this is what I saw (unfortunately you don't get to hear what I heard all week)! I tried to get a picture of Eli doing the same thing but as soon as I got the camera out he got quiet. So I kept the camera out a lot! Saturday Caroline, my mom and I went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Bass Hall. Greg had the privilege to keep the kids! When we got home he said "you are not to leave me alone with them when they have an ear infection!" All that to say this is why I am behind in putting pics on the blog!

Caroline and I out on one of the terraces at the Bass Hall waiting for the show to start.

Shows about to start, we found our seats... at the very top! We were the top row in our section!

Easter Sunday... all three are looking at me... two are smiling, not too bad of odds!

Sweet poses! (Caroline had an apron in her Easter basket this year and wore it all afternoon over her dress)

Caroline and her sweet Aunt May! Aren't they beautiful?

Caroline's Music Program

Caroline and all the kinders have been working hard for their music program. Caroline practiced her line lots of times (even adding to it when at home)! All the girls in her class were beavers, boys were moose and they had two skunks as well. Here Caroline is saying her line: Caroline is the 3rd speaker on the left and she says "yeah Da Bear, What you really need is a little spring vacation".

They sang 7 songs and had motions for all of them! Caroline is on the second to top row, middle of the picture. Elizabeth was glued to the action. She clapped for her sister so excited about the whole night... Eli says "can I go to sleep now?"

1st Birthday!!!

Eli and Elizabeth celebrated their first birthday on Wednesday. We started it off by waking them up in the morning singing to them and turning on the bright lights. We brought presents and had a sweet time of opening gifts.

On Saturday we had a little party for them. We had a delicious cake for the adults and I made some cupcakes for the kids. The cake was designed after their favorite toys.
Some of the special guests at the party were Caroline and Hannah...
Aunt May with her youngest niece...
and Grandma with her favorite grandson (also the only grandson).
Eli and Elizabeth were at the table ready for cupcake time...we were a little slow for Elizabeth so she decided to play with the table cover.
The surprise of the party for me was Mr. Eli who LOVED the cupcake. This little man likes his food pureed... so I did not think he would like something that was solid, but he ate it up!
Now Elizabeth will eat anything set in front of her so I knew she would love her cake and she did!
The kids at the party had a great time laughing at Eli and Elizabeth eating their cake.
Elizabeth was upset when the cake eating was over. She thought she should get another cupcake to eat and cried and cried. Actually right after this picture Greg set her on the ground and she went right to the table where some food fell on the ground and started to eat it!
Eli did not fuss as much but did thoroughly enjoy his cupcake too!
Today the kids put on their new bathing suits and played with Eli and Elizabeth's new toy. They were so sweet to share their toy with big sis, Caroline.

FYI for those that do not have the privilege of living in Texas, it was 92 degrees today!!!
