Caroline had her first field trip as a kindergardener. We went to the Ft. Worth Zoo today and had a great time. I had three girls I was in charge of keeping up with. It was a little harder at the beginning (I would tell them if they could not see me they were too far away), but by the end I was saying "come on, hurry up"! They should all be sleeping well tonight! This is the cutest little baby monkey. I had a hard time getting a good picture of him, but let me tell you... he is cute!

Morning Surprise!
Greg is continuing a tradition from his growing up years... whenever he got a new puppy as a child his parents had the puppy wake him up the next day... so here is Scout "waking" Caroline up. It is actually hard most days to wake Caroline up because she wakes up before anyone else in the house. She loved her surprise wake up though.

3 muskateers...oppsy now the 4 muskateers!
My matching three kiddos! Caroline loves it when she ha
s an outfit that matches her brother and sister! Aren't they precious?
Now my really crazy busy life has begun! We have a new member in our family to add to the craziness:) Caroline is already bonding with Scout as they take a nap together right after we brought him home. Scout is a shepherd mix and will be a medium sized dog when he is fully grown (they think). We adopted him from our local shelter today. He is almost 4 months old. Caroline is ecstatic!

1st Steps
Yesterday evening Elizabeth took her first steps. She was fussing (ready for her night time bottle) and I was holding Eli (also fussing wanting his bottle) so she pulled up on my legs and then took about three steps to get to me. After they both had their bottles we tried to recreate her first steps with the camera this time. It is not great footage because she is walking to me as I am trying to video it, but you get the gist.... she took 3 steps on her own!

Spring Break
To start our spring break off we went to Fossil Rim with my parents, brother, niece and my family of 5... all in ONE CAR!!! My dad and brother had the front seats, Caroline, Hannah and my mom had the middle two seats (we only drove through the park this way, we were law abiding citizens and had left our van in the parking lot), then Greg, Eli, Elizabeth and I in the back with the seats folded down. We somehow had a crazy idea that the babies would sleep in the car.... they did not. Oh and it was pretty crowded (because it was the Saturday before spring break) so it took us almost 3 hrs to get through the park.
We were able to see lots of animals up close and personal. We saw lots of zebras but I am only posting the one of the precious baby zebra sleeping by its momma.

See the horns? That is why we did not take my car... just in case he wanted to get closer I did not want the scratches on my vehicle:)
About halfway through the park is a place you can get out and walk around and pet some animals.
This is where the longest line was... there was about a 50 car wait to see this giraffe and let it eat from your hand! Way to go Bri letting the giraffe eat out of your hand, thanks for volunteering!
What is spring break with out a great big box for all the kids to play in?
We have had beautiful weather this week. We have been able to get outside and really enjoy it. I know the kids don't look like they are enjoying themselves, but really they don't enjoy me interrupting their play time to take pictures!
Have you ever seen prettier girls? Today we topped of Spring Break with a date with mommy. Caroline and I went to hobby lobby and barnes and noble while daddy took Eli and Elizabeth to Sprouts and Sams. Then we all went to General Granbury's birthday celebration! This is how my precious girls looked while doing all of those activities that I did not bring my camera to take pictures of them!

Mom- happy now that I have updated the blog? If you did not travel so much you would not miss seeing your grandchildren"s faces:)

He Did It!!!
Eli finally did it... he crawled for the first time today. I don't know if it was being on the back porch with no carpet that propelled him forward (propelled is a bit strong of a word as you can tell from the video) or he was just tired of being left behind. I took several videos of him crawling but his little sister wanted to be a part of it, so in the first one she is crawling to me, in front of Eli and pulling on the camera. The one below they are "racing" to the jump rope.
He may have been slower but he persevered and made it to his goal! Good job Eli!
Everyone has to have a flower! (or so Caroline thinks)
Sunday afternoon when I got home the house was quiet... I started looking for my family and this is what I found...
They were playing hide and seek, rarely do I think to look in my bathtub for them, but as I was looking into the bathroom I caught a glimpse of blonde hair (thankfully one of the Jennings is too big for our little tub).

Warm Days!
We have had some very warm beautiful days lately and have enjoyed getting out to play in the warmth. Eli was diagnosed with the flu and double ear infections on Monday so we were stuck inside during the beginning of the week. He was finally feeling better so we all went outside to play a little. Caroline loved zooming around on her big wheel...
Elizabeth zoomed around in her walker...
and Eli who was not 100% yet sat and watched all the action happily! (He was just glad he was not quarantined in the pack n play any more).

Tonight the E's were very fussy. It was 6:40pm and they were ready for the night time bottle and then wanted to go to bed. I was warming up the milk but during that time, they fussed and fussed, then they both laid down sucking thumbs and fingers. I went to get the camera, so I had to leave the room, and they started crying again. I thought well I will get a pic of the crying then maybe they will lay down again so I can get the after effects too. But no... they saw the camera and turned over/sat up and just stared at me. No crying nothing. I would have gotten the camera out sooner if I had known they would stop crying for it:)

They practiced riding a bike with no training wheels then went to the store to pick out some ice cream. Caroline picked out some chocolate ice cream... can you tell?
