New!

Caroline loves to fix hair. I am not sure if all of you know this, but she fixes her hair all day long (even at school), she fixes mommy's, daddy's, any one who will let her she fixes their hair. Today Elizabeth got a new hairstyle. Caroline has tried to put a ponytail in Lizzie's hair but today was different... today she got the mohawk look!!!

Something else new is that Elizabeth has been quite the active little girl. She rolls everywhere and gets up on her hands and feet and kinda rocks... well she actually moved today. I am not sure what I was thinking encouraging this kind of behavior but I just got caught up in the moment of her moving... I will definitely have to start pushing her back down. I am not ready to have a baby on the move!!!

I finally got a new camera for Christmas so I have been taking all kinds of pictures to make up for all the lost picture taking time. We had a great time celebrating Jesus’ birthday with all of our family. Christmas Eve was spent with my family and Christmas day with Greg’ family (with a little mixing of both families both days).
We did our second annual gingerbread house making with the big girls. They each had a side they got to decorate any way they wanted

Christmas morning Caroline was awake and ready to start opening presents:

Caroline got a beautiful purple dress-up dress for Christmas. I think it was her favorite gift because she has worn it all day everyday since yesterday.
Greg’s big gift this year was a nano to listen to while running. We both got mp3 players to listen to while running… hopefully we will get to start running again soon.
So Greg came up with a creative way to give me one of my gifts. He made a puzzle for me to put together to figure out where my gift was. I actually had a hard time putting the puzzle together but it was worth it for my gift.
The puzzle was also a little hard for me to read in order to follow the instructions. Do you know where my gift was hidden?
It was behind the angel on the top of our tree, that I could not even reach when standing on the fireplace.
On our 9th anniversary I told Greg I would really like a diamond/sapphire ring on our 10th anniversary. So for our 10th I did not get a ring, but I did get some new running shoes (that I have yet tried out). For Christmas I did get the ring…isn’t it beautiful?
Eli and Elizabeth did celebrate Christmas with us but they were not a very active part of opening presents. They were content with letting big sister open them all. Also sadly Eli was sick during Christmas and just wanted to be held. This year Caroline got lots of dress-up accessories. Day after Christmas all dressed up for church. All the kids had matching outfits, compliments of their Granna and Popa!!! The whole family… never a perfect picture, Elizabeth took her bow off right before the pictures was taken and I don’t know what happened to Eli’s hair that it is sticking straight up in the back.
Just the kids, not all smiling but all looking at the camera!
First Tea Party. Elizabeth got her first tea party set for Christmas .. so they all sitting having tea party, ok Eli is watching what is going on while Caroline and Elizabeth have a tea party!

6th Birthday

So I am not sure how this happened other than it has been crazy at our house. But after my last post I realized I had not put any pictures from Caroline's birthday party. Caroline really wanted to have her party at the skating rink. It was pretty fun watching most of the kids hang onto the railing. They had a great time! Caroline's cousin Hannah
her friend Kayla
her "boyfriend" Daniel, then Hannah, then Reagan
Reagan up close.
Caroline wanted a pink castle cake... so that is what she had... it may not look all that great but Caroline's response made it perfect for me. As soon as she saw the cake, she said "I love it, it is beautiful"!!!
Caroline with some of her friends
More friends on the other side of the table.
Present time was a bit overwhelming for me... Caroline and Elizabeth had a great time.

Crazy Days

We celebrated Caroline's birthday as a family early in the morning (per tradition). We woke up the birthday girl with the happy birthday song then gave her, her presents in bed to open! She got the cutest hat and matching scarf plus a new book. Can not believe my baby is officially six years old. Where has the time gone? The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had a Christmas Party at our house. There are no pictures of that, but before everyone showed up I took pics of my kids:) Eli and Elizabeth have cute "my first Christmas" hats and Caroline borrowed the hat that goes on our wooden bear (hence hers is a bit small).
The week after Thanksgiving Greg and I were at church every night. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night we had practice for our Christmas production. Wednesday night was the dress rehearsal. Then we had performances: Thursday and Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday night, and lastly on Sunday night. We were pretty exhausted by the end of the week, but enjoyed being a part of such a great Christmas performance. It took place in 1905. Caroline loved the dress I wore and thought it was mine to keep. I had to explain that I rented it and had to return it to the store.
Below is a picture of Caroline in her "pretty dress" also. She loves to match and loves dresses so any chance to put on a pretty dress is taken by her.
My handsome hubby and me with a 1905 outfits on... Greg did shave after the performance, but he did not have to wear as much make up as the other guys since he had facial hair!
Some of the cast waiting for showtime! We have a great church body who provides us with lots of food and desserts to keep us fueled during the performances.

That was our busy few weeks. We are hopefully slowing down a little before Christmas comes. Caroline had a tough time with us gone every night. We know this because she woke us up in the middle of the night every night we did not put her to bed. One night Caroline came to the performance so she did not wake us up that night since we put her to bed. We are now getting back on schedule and getting to sleep more. I think yall are all caught up for a while. Oh, Caroline did get to have a fun day at school today... it was Polar Express day... she got to wear PJ's to school and then had the Polar Express story read to all the kindergartners. They even had hot chocolate and cookies during that part in the story. The only problem was that Caroline was sick. I went up to school to help serve the hot chocolate and ended up taking Caroline home soon after they reached the North Pole (in the story of course). She had a temp of 101.4. Took her to the doctor and she has some kind of virus (no strep, no ear infection, no flu) that causes fever, stomach ache, sore throats. Fun times at the Jennings house again!
