Day 5

Last day of the week and Caroline finished strong... as in she talked back to her student teacher today:) She will either learn quickly or get to know the principals well this year! She did say that she will never have to go to the time out chair! Hope she is right:) She said she had a good day and was so excited to have a friend ride the bus home with her. No pictures today, basically cus I was a slacker today.... but Caroline did have her first soccer practice tonight. It has been awhile since she played so it took her a bit to get back in the swing (or kick) of things. Coach is going to start being harder on them this year he said... as in if they dont listen when he talks they get to run laps... this is going to be soooo good for Caroline. I think she will be running lots of laps and will be in excellent shape.

Day 4

Ok, I don't think I took any pictures for Day 4! Caroline had a good day according to her, however, I did get a note from the teacher stating she was left on the playground because she did not come when the whistle was blown, so she had to wait for another teacher to bring her in. The note also said that she was very upset about it and the teacher did not think she would do it again. Caroline had already told me about the incident before I got the note from the teacher... her version was a little different. Caroline said she was not done playing so she did not go when the whistle was blown... she heard it and decided she wanted to play a little longer. We had a talk about how that is not obeying the teacher or rules and there will be consequences when you choose not to obey. I also told her teacher this morning that Caroline was not as upset as she appeared to be. Hopefully Day 5 will be a great day. Caroline is having a friend ride the bus home with her today so she is excited about that! It will be a busy afternoon for us:) Will let you know how Day 5 goes and will also try and take a picture... oh wait I just remembered I did take a picture of Caroline eating her special snack yesterday. Every day when she comes home I have something special for her to eat so we can talk about her day at the table. Yesterday was an ice cream cone. Here she is posing for you!

Day 3

Wednesday was a much better day at school. Caroline got a special pink smiley sticker for doing a great job obeying the teacher, she did a lot of homework when she got home (we are almost done with her big school project due on Friday), and very little arguing at home. Now I must admit there was some struggles getting the homework done, not only did she have her special project to do but also had additional homework that was sent home that day. So as Caroline and I were at the table working on homework, Eli was in the bumbo and Elizabeth in the exersaucer with toys.... I heard Elizabeth fussing so finally took a little break with Caroline and turned around to give them some attention and this is what I found.....

That's right, Eli sleeping in the bumbo sucking on his thumb! Think that boy was a bit tired? No wonder I did not hear him fussing... he had his thumb.

Day 2

Caroline had a great first day of school. She did not remember any of her new friends names but said she made some new friends. She also saw some of her "old" friends at school too and was excited about that. Caroline rides the bus home from school but I forgot to take my camera to the bus stop yesterday so I took a photo today (it is the next picture). When Caroline got home yesterday I had made a special cake to celebrate her first day of school. Caroline called it her "first day of school birthday cake". Below is a photo of her enjoying her cake. Getting off the bus, what a big girl she is now. Today to celebrate her 2nd day of school Greg made her some cookies. So we sat at the table and ate cookies and talked about her day. There was lots to talk about since it is the second day and she already received a "warning" on her behavior chart!
This is what the rest of us did today while Caroline was at school. We played airplane...
played in the exersaucer...
and talking about how much we missed big sister.

BIG DAY!

Caroline's first day of Kindergarten is TODAY! I can not believe my baby is old enough for school. The time with her at home with me has flown by so fast. I am so proud of the little lady she is becoming and can't wait to hear how her first day went. Caroline with Eli and Elizabeth before going off to school.
Caroline walking with Daddy to the school!
It was a pretty crazy morning at school today. We had to stand in a long line in order to get a sticker to take Caroline to her class. As we stood in line they told us we needed our license but my friend said since Greg had his I would not need mine... that was not correct, so after we stood in line a long time and finally made it to the office I had to go back outside to get my license from my car... yuck. I did get to by pass all the other people in line though after I got my license. Below is a picture of Caroline as we stood in line.
Finally we made it out of the office and are on the way to Caroline's class room.
Caroline is giving her teacher Mrs. Davis a special gift for their first day together. Notice the look on Caroline's face has changed. She now has her serious not sure what I think about this change look.
Mrs. Davis is telling Caroline where she needs to sit.
Mrs. Davis opened Caroline's gift in front of the whole class and showed them all what she brought. Caroline still has her serious look on her face. I hope it is gone when I see her this afternoon;)
I will hopefully have a picture of Caroline getting off the bus this afternoon that I will probably put on the blog later today. Over all I think it was a good morning. I did not cry at all which was probably because it was so crazy this morning. Caroline shared this morning how nervous she was to go to school today, we prayed for her in the car before getting out and will continue to pray all day that she has a great experience.

4 months old!

It is hard to believe Eli and Elizabeth are now 4 months old. They went to have their check up yesterday and got their four shots! They also got weighed and measured. Here are the stats: Eli- weighs 12lbs 8 oz, height is 24 inches, and head is 16 inches. Elizabeth- weighs 12lbs, height is 24 1/4inches and head is 15 1/2inches. I will be glad when we are done getting so many shots at one time. They both end up cranky and with fevers. I took a couple of pics this morning of my beauties in their cribs. Elizabeth loves to grab onto things (usually her dress) and ... ...Eli loves his thumb! We of course take the thumb out and replace with the paci and try to give him the lovey so he has something to hold onto but he somehow finds his way back to his thumb.

Picture Day!

I have been feeling a little bad that I took pictures of Caroline every month in a special outfit. Today was the first day I attempted it with all the kiddos (now I know why I have not done it before)! Eli HATES tummy time. He will last about 3 seconds before he starts to fuss. He does not hold his head up nearly as well as Elizabeth, but she also likes tummy time. Well yesterday they received these cute panties (underwear for Eli) that I wanted to take a picture of but they needed to be on their tummies for the best pics... Eli went first because I knew he would not last long as in .5seconds! These pics are actually later on after he had some back time and playing with big sister time while I took Elizabeth's pic. He was much happier.
Aren't these the cutest boxers ever?
This was the first picture I took of Elizabeth, she held her head high and looked right at me. Of course I forgot to have her bow in her hair for the first few pictures...
But I eventually remembered she needed her bow!
What picture taking is complete without big sister in there too. She wanted to be dressed just like her brother and sister but after explaining she was too old to dress like that she found a white dress that matched them close enough (thanks grandma for the suggestion). Oh and look close or not so close and you can see this would have been the perfect pic if someone was not drooling... such is the life of little ones!
I did try to get a picture of all three kids but Eli was not happy about it! So the best ones where of the two girls.
