More Snow!

So this is the most snow I have ever seen in the DFW area... really I moved south so I did not have to deal with the snow. Caroline on the other hand loves it! We brought some friends home from school and they had a great time playing out in the snow. And of course what is the point of having snow if you can't eat it right!

Greg, you are not missing much... just more snow which they have in NV!

Play Date

Today we went to our friends house to play with them. They have a sweet little girl who is almost two and then twin boys who are 4.5months. The boys slept most of the time the girls played. Toward the end of playing time they woke up so we could have a sweet baby fix. Caroline still loves babies and loves to hold them. I took a picture of her holding Cannon, he sits still more than Coen does. She enjoyed playing pat-a-cake with Cannon and getting smiles, while I got to hold and cuddle with Coen. We had a great time playing today and as we left their house we talked about coming back to play when it was warmer so in the car Caroline asked if we could go back this afternoon.... I don't think this sweet family meant for us to come back that soon:) It also wont be warm for awhile. Thank you Williams' family for sharing your boys with us!

Birthday Bash

So for our Niece's birthday we went to Great Wolf Lodge. This time the grandparents where there so Greg and I had a chance to go on all the water slides that the girls were too small to go on. We had a great time, although I thought we did not sleep well last time because we had a new baby, but I think part of it are that the beds are sooo hard, like sleeping on the ground. It is exhausting to play all day and then not sleep well at night. Oh, well here are some of the pics:

Hannah with her cake
Blowing out the candles, Caroline trying to help.
Playing in the arcade (with no money)

Going down a baby water slide,
I know the picture quality is not great. It was hard to have good lighting in the water park... but Caroline pulled Hannah from one end of the splash pool to the other end...by her bathing suit straps. It was pretty funny to watch, especially when they got to the more shallow part of the pool.

PUZZLE

We have some friends in NV that have a woodwork shop behind their house. Last time Greg went to NV and stayed with them he made Caroline a wooden horse to play with... oh and these friends made Caroline a rocker her size, that is also similar to a puzzle, as in it comes apart and has to be put back together! So we got something in the mail one night and as we opened it, this is what we found... ok not actually what is in the picture because that is the "finished product". We found lots of animals, barn, and tractor cut into a puzzle. Caroline of course LOVES it!!! Her mommy and daddy thought it was neat until we hear "can you put ____ back together" (fill in the blank with whatever animal, etc you want). We did glue some of the parts together that kept coming off, to downsize some of the puzzle pieces. Notice, the barn has our name on it, and the wagon the tractor is pulling has our town on it. So cute. Thank you Smith Family!

Snow Days!

Snowing in Texas? Again? Twice in the same winter? I thought I moved south so I did not have to have snow any more... oh wait, it was so that when there is snow I don't have to get out in it because everything closes down! Some were out of electricity and we just lost internet. That affected Greg since in order for him to work we need internet. So here are some pictures. On Thursday it started snowing. The wimp that I am, I bundled Caroline up and just took pictures then watched from the kitchen window while she played. Her first matter of business was to taste the snow.
Then she was so kind as to shovel our driveway! Then she and her daddy (who is not a wimp like me) made a snowman, oopsy I mean snowwoman, see the bow?
Then on Friday Greg only had to work 4 hours, doesn't sound hard but we did not have internet, so he got to have a snowball fight with our neighbors.

What is a snow day without making snow icecream!

In Honor Of Natalie

We have been so blessed during this time of mourning. God has blessed us with family and friends who have surrounded us, literally and figuratively. We know that so many prayers are being prayed for us and Natalie. We can feel God's presence in our house. One precious family blessed us with a pink rose bush to plant in our yard in honor/memory of Natalie. So today was finally warm enough to plant our new rose bush. They also gave Caroline some gardening gloves so she can pick the roses and give them to others letting them know they are from her precious sister Natalie. Caroline was excited about both the gloves and getting to plant the rose bush. Today was a school day for Caroline so when I dropped her off this morning I told her I would be picking her up early so she would have time to help plant the rose bush... she was so excited she said "YEAH the rose bush!" So enjoy the picks of them planting and watering our new rose bush.

Ok, so I did not get much of the rose bush in this picture, but if you look near Greg's toe you will see part of the bush poking up. But it is a great pic of Greg and Caroline:)
