Game Night!!!

We were party people last night! We had party pass tickets so see those little people on the very top? That is where we were but on the field side. We could see the far edge of the field and if I was on my tip toes I could see to the 5 yard line:) Greg could see to the 40 yard line on his tip toes. He took most of the pictures because he has really long arms:) Sweet friends who invited us to join them at the game. We had a great time even though we could not see the field.
The infamous star... they made a big show of presenting the old star from the other stadium at opening game.
Pres Bush and Laura did the coin toss... That was the best I could see them...on the screen:) Tried to take a picture of them, but they just looked like a bunch of ants on the field!
National anthem flag... it was huge. The statue of liberty can stand inside this stadium and not touch the top, the empire state building can lay down inside it, the st. louis arches fit inside it.. ITS BIG...
Man painted this Muriel the whole game. It was supposed to be done by the end of the game, but we did not stay to see the finished product.
This is the big screen at the stadium... it is huge and so clear to view, 60 yards long.. has 6 people working inside it during the game to ensure that it keeps working.

Friday Night Lights

We took Caroline to her first football game. Greg wanted to take Caroline to an aggie game, but we decided before we spent too much money on her we should try our local high school football game. So off we went with our friends the Parrish's to the Granbury football game. It was looking good to start with. Smiles on most faces. Still before the game started, but still a smile...
Then... they decided it was late (not even half-time yet). So they decided to take a nap on the bench, unless something good happened and all the adults stood up, then they quickly awoke to stand up on the bench and clap. Oh, by the way, something interesting to note... all three (well four if you count Kelly the dad) Parrish boys were glued to the game. Caroline and Hannah walked back and forth in front of us to different benches to try them out see if they were as comfortable to sleep on. Glad we have not paid for an expensive college ticket for her. We need to break her into the football game watching/socializing.

When you ask Caroline if she had a great time at the football game her answer is "no".
