FUN IN THE SUN

We watered... and watered...
and watered...
then we played in the dirt with daddy.
This is a pretty cute video of something I am sure all children have done at some point in their lives. Caroline thought it was hillarious. I would video it then she would come to the camera to watch it play. (helpful hint: for those of your like my parents... it is more fun to watch the video with the sound on)

General Granbury's Birthday Party

We helped celebrate his birthday by eating cake and ice cream... yummy. Caroline was able to have her very own cupcake and loved every minute of it as you can tell.

After her face was all messy from the cupcake we went and had it painted. Always good to paint a dirty face since you have to wash it anyway;) Caroline did well for awhile, but then started to fidgit in the seat and so the end result is a little different looking. Caroline did not mind one bit though. She thought the girl who painted her face was a lot of fun to talk to and would talk in her quiet voice that is very hard to hear especially with the man singing right across the from us.

Cousin Time

Oh how they love each other!!! Caroline has missed her cousin Hannah. They have so much fun playing together. As you can see from the second picture they also had to wear their matching Hawaii dresses.
Don't forget to watch the great video of the girls jumping with daddy/uncle Greg. They had so much fun getting "popped" into the air.

Easter-Part 2

Here she is Easter Morning. She is all dressed up for church with her "new dress"! Even though she loves to play in the dirt, she also loves her dresses.

Caroline received a kite in her Easter basket and since we had a nice wind blowing we thought we would try it out while at Grandpa and Grandma's house. As you can see she is liking the kite (for about 3 minutes). In the bottom picture she is trying to touch the kite.

Caroline's third and final egg hunt. She is a pro at it now!

EASTER

The neighborhood we live in had a big Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Caroline like the bunny. She kept looking for him during the "egg hunt" it was pretty cute. They also had a raffle for a real bunny (free raffle) but we chose not to enter our name.. but did think about entering our friends and families name:)

Caroline and her best friend Addi

Yes Caroline has run past all the other eggs... I guess she had a specific egg she was looking for. She left her mommy in the dust as she took off!

Kimberlee, Caroline, and Addi after the egg hunt!

New Pics

Spring time has arrived here in TX so Caroline put on her new "duds". She was styling with her bellbottom crocheted jeans.

Caroline is learning to make her bed all by herself. I am learning to allow it to not be perfect:) She has been making it all by herself all week. I sometimes have to talk her through the process but I don't help. She is doing a great job lumps and all!

Play-Date

We had a play-date at our house with a few people from our small group in MOPS. The girls had the most fun dyeing Easter eggs. Once they had lunch we "hid" the eggs and let them find them. They all did a great job finding eggs. It was pretty cute to watch them. Hope you enjoy the pics.

New Screened Porch

BEFORE:

AFTER:
Thank you to all of our family and friends who helped us with the porch. We love our new screened in porch. Caroline, Tamerick, and Calli can all play out there unsupervised which is a nice break sometimes. Greg did most of the work. I painted some but mainly encouraged:) We still have some painting to do on the inside and eventually we will stain the concrete (at least I think I have talked Greg into that).

Update on Haircut

I had several people asking me for the "after" photo of Caroline's haircut... I did not take any pictures of it soon after because of the Vaseline Caroline smeared all in her hair (in case you don't know, it makes your hair very greasy looking). So her hair is not totally back to normal yet (after four washes) but here is an "after" shot of her hair. We ended up cutting about 4 inches off. It is a lot more manageable.. although that could be from the Vaseline also:)

First Hair Cut

Caroline is not too sure what she thinks about her hair getting cut. She is up in the chair but not sure if she wanted to stay. She had this solemn face the whole time she was getting her hair cut. Oh, and her hair is really greasy thanks to the vaseline she spread all in her hair this morning before anyone was up (probably around 530am).

We did save some of her hair to put in her baby book, although I dont know if it counts since she is three now... but it is from her first haircut. As you can see from the bottom picture her daddy collected some hair for us. Then her daddy got his hair cut while Caroline and mommy played. That was much more fun that getting her hair cut!

Needs New Feet

Well Caroline tripped over her own feet again and hit her mouth on the side of the bedframe... again. This time she has a busted lip and chipped off some more of that same front tooth she chipped before. This time it is the left side of the tooth. You can kind of see it in the second picture. Instead of chipping off the bottom of the tooth (like the first time), this time the chip runs vertically up her tooth. She is better tonight and enjoyed her bath as you can see from the pictures. We went to the dentist today and took x-rays. So far it is ok, no nerve damage that they could see, so we are just going to keep an eye on it still to see if there are any changes. Caroline complains a little about the tooth being sensitive but hopefully that will go away. The other option is to put a cap on it, but the dentist would have to put Caroline under anesthesia to do that and he did not want to do that, neither do I.
